My First Year as a Junior Tax/Legal Adviser
During your first year as a junior tax adviser you will experience a wide range of both advisory and compliance work. Depending on your interests, you may become part of the corporate tax, the indirect tax or the people services practice, while receiving a general and broad tax training together with all the young persons that started at the same time you did.
As a junior legal adviser you will provide legal services: legal research, preparation of legal advice and drafting of contracts and legal documents. Depending on your interests, you may become part of the corporate law or the employment law department.
You will receive thorough training that covers all sub-areas of taxation, while respecting your choice for a specific sub-practice. In the meantime you are also supported and coached by experienced staff members towards your qualification for the profession of tax adviser (IAB/IEC).
Your role as a junior tax or legal adviser is highly varied, and involves working in a supportive, young and dynamic team, with different clients and business problems. Several social events are organized each year at KPMG to build team spirit, such as a Christmas dinner, a New Year reception, football matches between the different offices of KPMG.
